Star-Max® 5124CF 24" Radiant Electric Charbroiler, 6.6 kW

The Star Star-Max® 5124CF is a 24-inch countertop electric charbroiler rated at 6,600 watts. 4 incoloy sheath elements heat the heavy cast iron grates by direct radiation and by conduction through the grates, with an infinite control for every 12 inches of cooking surface. It is hard-wired and available for 208V or 240V service; select the voltage above.

Two-Way Heat Transfer

The elements sit just below the grates, so product is cooked both by radiant heat straight from the elements and by heat conducted through the cast iron grates. Combining the two gives even heat across the grid, strong char marks and fast recovery between loads.

An electric charbroiler produces grill marks and char flavor without a gas line, which makes it a practical choice where gas is not available. The swing-up element assembly locks vertically for safe, easy cleaning, and the removable water pan helps prevent flare-ups.

Installation & Utility Requirements

The charbroiler must be hard-wired at installation for 1-phase or 3-phase service at the voltage ordered. Have a licensed electrician size the circuit from the amp ratings above.

Install on a non-combustible countertop using the supplied 4-inch legs, or on a combustible floor using a stand at least 27 inches tall. Keep the back and both sides at least 3 inches (76 mm) from combustible surfaces and install under a ventilation hood as required by local codes.
