The Southbend SPR-1J is a 18-inch Platinum Series single stock pot range built for heavy pots and long simmering, rated at 120,000 BTU/hr. Available in natural gas or liquid propane; select the gas type above.

Platinum Stock Pot Range Design

Southbend Platinum stock pot ranges are low-height, heavy-gauge burners built for large stock pots, brew kettles and braising work. The 14-gauge all-welded body with stainless steel front, sides and plate shelf sits on heavy round tube legs with adjustable feet.

Each burner is a three-ring cast iron design with independently controlled rings, so the operator can run a gentle simmer on the inner ring or full output across all three rings for a rapid boil. A removable welded steel top grate and welded 14-gauge drip tray make cleanup straightforward.

Installation & Utility Requirements

• Gas: natural gas or liquid propane supply (match the option ordered) to a 1" connection; a pressure regulator is supplied with the unit. Size the gas line for the full rated input of every appliance on the line.
• Clearances from combustible construction: rear 0", left 0", right 0"
• Ventilation: install under a commercial exhaust hood in accordance with local codes
• Professional installation by a licensed gas fitter or electrician is required by the manufacturer
• Casters: units on casters must be connected with a flexible quick-disconnect gas hose and a restraining device
