For a bar, café or small restaurant that is tired of buying bagged ice, the Serv-Ware SWUC-80H is a self-contained ice maker that tucks under the counter and keeps a supply of half cube ice right where your staff pours drinks. It makes the ice and stores it in the same cabinet, so there is no separate bin to buy or find room for.
Rated output is up to 80 lb of half cube ice every 24 hours, with a built-in bin that holds about 33 lb. An air-cooled 1/4 HP system running on R290 refrigerant (1,330 BTU/h) does the work on a standard 115V circuit, drawing 390 watts and plugging into an ordinary NEMA 5-15P outlet.
What you will notice in day-to-day use
- Ice on its own schedule. The machine runs its freeze and harvest cycles automatically and stops when the bin is full, so nobody has to babysit it.
- Half cubes that work hard. Smaller half cube ice packs tightly into glasses and cools drinks quickly, which suits sodas, cocktails and iced coffee.
- Fits where counters already are. Air comes in and goes out the front, so the unit can sit in a tight undercounter space without side or rear vents.

Before it arrives
- Power: a dedicated 115V outlet that accepts a NEMA 5-15P plug.
- Water and drain: plan a potable water supply and a floor drain or drain line near the install spot; have a qualified installer make the connections.
