Small bars, cafés and restaurants that go through a few hundred pounds of ice on a busy day do not need a giant machine; they need one that keeps up reliably. The Serv-Ware SWM22-350H is a 22" wide modular ice head that sits on a storage bin and turns out half cube ice, a handy all-rounder for soft drinks, cocktails and iced tea.

It is rated at up to 350 lb of ice in 24 hours, runs on ordinary 115V power (780 W) with a NEMA 5-15P plug, and uses a 1/4 HP air-cooled system charged with R290 refrigerant. At 22-1/16" W x 23-3/8" D x 22-1/4" H, it fits narrower back-of-house spaces where a 30" head will not.

• Water and drain: plan for a potable water supply and a floor drain near the location; filtration is a good idea in hard-water areas.
• Airflow: this is an air-cooled unit, so leave open space around it and avoid hot, enclosed corners; adjustable front legs help level it on uneven floors.

Three years parts and labor on the entire unit, plus five years on the compressor and evaporator (parts only), from Serv-Ware. Coverage is for commercial use in the United States.
