Need a full-size fryer but only have a narrow slot on the line? The Serv-Ware SWEF-50 is a 50 lb. electric floor fryer that is just under 16 inches wide, so it slips between a range and a work table or joins an existing fryer battery. It is a practical choice for restaurants, bars, food halls and kitchens without gas service that still want real fry capacity.
The stainless steel pot holds 50 lb. of oil and is heated by 12 kW of flat elements that sit right in the oil. A thermostat sets the oil from 120°F to 375°F. The fryer runs on 208V, 60 Hz, single-phase power, draws 58 amps, and must be hardwired (it ships with a cord but no plug).
What you will notice in day-to-day use
- Fast recovery between drops. Flat elements in direct contact with the oil transfer heat efficiently, so the temperature climbs back quickly after a basket of frozen fries goes in.
- Longer oil life. A deep cold zone with a forward-sloping bottom lets crumbs settle below the elements, where they do not scorch and darken the oil.
- Simpler draining. A 1" drain valve and an oil-draining extension make filtering or changing oil at the end of a shift quicker and less messy.
- Safer to work around. A cool-to-touch door handle and a clear on/off power switch keep everyday operation straightforward.
- Ready to fry on day one. Two fry baskets come in the box.
