Serv-Ware SHPS-36 36" Countertop Hot Plate with 6 Burners, 150,000 BTU, Cast Iron Grates

Six burners across 36 inches, sitting on a counter or stand instead of a range base: that is the Serv-Ware SHPS-36. It suits kitchens that do most of their cooking in pots and woks and want the space underneath for refrigeration or storage, as well as caterers and high-volume soup and sauce operations.

Each of the six octagonal burners is rated at 25,000 BTU/hr, 150,000 BTU/hr in total, under heavy-duty cast iron grates. The unit measures 36" wide, 27-1/4" deep and 11-1/4" high.

What you will notice in day-to-day use

• A full range top without the range. Six burners on a countertop free up the space below for a refrigerated base or storage.
• Even flame. Octagonal burners spread heat across the bottom of the pan.
• Comfortable to work at. The front edge stays cool to the touch.
• Less scrubbing. A full-length seamless drip pan catches spills from all six burners.
• Serviced in place. Pilots adjust from the front and the unit services from the front.

Choosing your setup

Gas type: choose natural gas or LP above. The natural gas version ships with an LP conversion kit and regulator. Burner ratings are listed the same for both gases.

Before it arrives

• Gas: 3/4" gas line; have a qualified installer connect it.
• Counter: a 36" six-burner unit is heavy; use a sturdy non-combustible counter or an equipment stand rated for the load.
• Ventilation: install under a commercial hood following your local code.

Warranty

1 year parts and labor on the entire unit from Serv-Ware, counted from the installation date (up to 18 months from shipment), for commercial use in the United States. Labor must be performed by a qualified gas appliance service company approved by Serv-Ware.
