The MagiKitch'n MKG-24 packs a heavy, 1-inch thick griddle plate into a compact 24-inch footprint, which makes it a smart pick for kitchens that want serious flat-top performance without giving up a lot of line space. Think cafes, bars with a short burger menu, food halls and breakfast stations that need a griddle that holds heat under pressure.
Four stainless steel venturi burners at 15,000 BTU/hr each (one every 6 inches) add up to 60,000 BTU/hr. Two snap-action thermostats, one per 12" zone, hold the plate anywhere from 200°F to 450°F, and a recessed piezo spark ignitor lights the pilot with a push of a button. The cooking surface measures 23-3/4" wide by 24" deep.
What you will notice in day-to-day use
- Heat that does not quit. The 1" thick polished steel plate stores a lot of heat, so it recovers quickly when you load cold product.
- Two independent zones. A thermostat every 12" lets you sear on one side and cook eggs or hold on the other, with probes embedded in the plate for accurate surface readings.
- Simple, dependable controls. Snap-action thermostats and push-button piezo ignition need no electrical hookup.
- Grease goes where it should. A spatula-wide 3-1/2" front trough and welded chute drain into a 3.75 gallon grease box with a splash-zone compartment.
- Fast to clean. Extra smooth 11 gauge skirting, fully welded side skirting, no exposed fasteners and an easy-to-remove cabinet back make closing cleanup quicker.
- Fits tight against the wall. The gas regulator and shutoff are factory installed and recessed for close-to-wall installation.
Choosing your setup
Gas type: choose natural gas or liquid propane above; the griddle is built for the gas you select. Pressure requirements are below.
| Gas | Supply pressure | Burner pressure |
|---|---|---|
| Natural gas | 7 – 14" W.C. | 4" W.C. |
| Liquid propane | 12 – 14" W.C. | 10" W.C. |
Prefer automatic pilot lighting or a higher top temperature? The MKG-24-E adds an electric thermostat (200°F – 550°F) with matchless ignition, and a LaPlancha thermostat (300°F – 625°F) is available as an option.

Before it arrives
- Gas: 3/4" connection; have a qualified installer connect it and size the supply line to hold burner pressure with every appliance on.
- Ventilation: install under a commercial hood following local code, and do not block the flue.
- Clearance: keep 6" at the rear; sides need 2" from combustible surfaces and 0" next to non-combustible construction.
