Already have hot water that reaches 180°F? The Jackson TempStar W/O is the TempStar door-type dishwasher built without its own booster, so you are not paying for heating you already have. It suits restaurants, casinos and bars tying into an existing hot water setup.
On the normal cycle it washes up to 63 racks per hour (58 at NSF-rated load time), which is roughly 1,575 dishes or 2,268 glasses an hour. Each rack uses 0.89 gallons of water and the normal cycle takes 57 seconds. It sanitizes with a 180°F final rinse that comes straight from your incoming supply, and the chamber offers 17-1/4" of clearance.
What you will notice in day-to-day use
- A lighter electrical load. With no onboard booster, it draws a fraction of the booster version's current.
- Four timed cycles. Normal, Medium, Heavy and Extra Heavy give greasy pots more time and glassware a quick pass.
- Room for sheet trays. The 17-1/4" door opening takes 18" trays, and the machine uses standard 20" x 20" racks.
- No detergent in the rinse. A self-draining stainless steel wash pump keeps wash water from carrying over into the final rinse.
- Layout and power flexibility. With a kit, it converts between straight-through and corner installs, and between three-phase and single-phase power.
Choosing your setup
Electrical: pick the voltage and phase above that match your service. The figures below are Jackson's ratings for the no-booster machine. A 460V three-phase version is listed as a factory option.
| Electrical service | Total load | Min. circuit ampacity | Max. overcurrent protection |
|---|---|---|---|
| 208V / 1-Phase | 24.7 A | 25.9 A | 30.0 A |
| 208V / 3-Phase | 16.4 A | 17.6 A | 20.0 A |
| 230V / 1-Phase | 26.8 A | 28.0 A | 30.0 A |
| 230V / 3-Phase | 17.6 A | 18.8 A | 20.0 A |

Before it arrives
- Have a licensed electrician install a dedicated circuit sized from the table above.
- Your supply must deliver 180°F water at 10 PSI (± 2). Jackson recommends a properly sized tank-type water heater and does not endorse tankless on-demand units.
- Check local code for ventilation. The built-in vent fan control shuts the hood fan off while the machine sits idle.
- Allow 4" behind the unit (and 4" at the side for corner installs) and 76" of height with the door raised. The crated machine weighs 263 lb.
