No hood, no hot water line? The Jackson TempStar VER is a ventless door-type dishwasher with a two-pass energy recovery system, so it runs on a cold water connection, an electrical circuit and a drain. It suits restaurants, bars and casinos in leased spaces or remodels where a new hood would be costly.
It washes up to 41 racks per hour (39 at NSF-rated load time), about 1,025 dishes or 1,476 glasses an hour, on 0.89 gallons of water per rack. The normal cycle runs 87 seconds, which includes a 30-second vent stage. A built-in 70°F rise booster with the Sani-Sure™ system brings the final rinse to 180°F, and the chamber clears 17-1/4".
What you will notice in day-to-day use
- Goes where a hood cannot. The ventless design needs no hood, opening up spots a standard door-type could never go.
- Cold water is all it needs. Energy recovery handles incoming water from 40°F to 90°F, so there is no need to run a hot water line to the dish area.
- The door stays shut until it is safe. A door interlock keeps the door locked while the cycle is running.
- Four timed cycles. Normal handles everyday plates; Medium, Heavy and Extra Heavy take on tougher loads.
- A clean final rinse. The self-draining stainless steel pump prevents detergent carryover.
Choosing your setup
Electrical: choose the voltage and phase above that fit your building. A kit lets you convert between three-phase and single-phase later, and a 460V version is listed as a factory option.
| Electrical service | Total load | Min. circuit ampacity | Max. overcurrent protection |
|---|---|---|---|
| 208V / 1-Phase | 75.2 A | 76.5 A | 80.0 A |
| 208V / 3-Phase | 45.6 A | 46.8 A | 50.0 A |
| 230V / 1-Phase | 82.7 A | 83.9 A | 90.0 A |
| 230V / 3-Phase | 49.8 A | 51.1 A | 60.0 A |
