Hobart HCM450 45 Qt. Vertical Cutter Mixer, 5 HP

The Hobart HCM450 is a 45-quart vertical cutter mixer that cuts, mixes and kneads in seconds. Commissaries, schools, delis and high-volume kitchens use it for salsa, slaw, chicken salad, bread crumbs, batters and dough, all in one bowl.

A 5 HP single-speed motor spins at 1,140 RPM with a 5-minute timer and run, hold and jog settings. The wide, shallow 45-quart stainless bowl tilts 90 degrees for pouring, and you can add liquids through the clear pour-through cover while it runs.

What you will notice in day-to-day use

• One machine, many jobs: Swap between the 2-blade cut/mix knife and the knead/mix attachment, or use the strainer basket, to cut, mix, chop or knead.
• See and add while it runs: The counterbalanced clear Lexan cover lets you watch the product and pour in liquids without stopping.
• Clean cover, clean bowl: A built-in scraper wipes the cover during operation so it is clean before you open it.
• Easy unloading: The bowl tilt lever tips the bowl up to 90 degrees for pouring and emptying.
• Safety interlocks: The machine will not run unless the cover is closed and latched and the bowl is tilted less than 20 degrees from vertical.

• An optional floor drain and water supply near the unit make cleanup easier.

Warranty

Hobart covers this mixer for one year on parts, labor and mileage against manufacturer defects. Service contracts are available.
