Groen TDBC-48C 12 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - 2/3 Jacket, Manual Tilt, Countertop

One circuit is all the TDBC-48C asks for, and behind it sit 12 gallons of jacketed vessel. The vessel is carried on a bench at working height rather than on legs of its own. The work it is bought for is production rather than short order.

The jacket covers the lower two thirds of the body, which puts heated metal alongside the batch as well as beneath it. Maximum working pressure in the jacket is 50 PSI. A crank meters the pour, which matters when the batch has to go into more than one pan. The interlock is a tilt cut-off at 12 degrees, and it takes the heat off before the jacket is off level.

Every exposed surface is 304 stainless, welded into a single piece. A 180 emery grit interior is specified, which shows every time the vessel is washed. Standard lining is type 304 stainless, which is the grade Groen builds as standard here. Groen builds it with Classic, Advanced or Cook2Temp controls, which is a decision about how much of the cook is automated. Groen lists the kettle to UL, NSF and ASME.

It is offered for 208 V or 240 V, single or three phase service; choose the electrical option above. The pour side has to stay clear, because a pan sits under the rim. It works best sited where the pans it fills are already stacked.
