Groen TDBC-24C 6 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - 2/3 Jacket, Manual Tilt, Countertop

6 gallons is the working charge of the TDBC-24C, and it is a bench vessel rather than a floor one. It fastens to whatever it sits on, and that surface has to carry the kettle full. Power is the only service it asks for, since the steam is raised inside the unit.

Groen jackets two thirds of the vessel, leaving the top of the wall cool enough to work over. Groen rates the jacket to 50 PSI maximum. Tilting is crank-driven and self-locking, so a pour can be stopped part way and restarted without losing the angle. Heating stops above 12 degrees of tilt, by design rather than by the operator remembering.

Groen specifies type 304 stainless here, welded up as one piece, which is why cleaning is a wash rather than a strip-down. Groen finishes the inside to 180 emery grit. Groen lines the vessel in 304 stainless as standard. The control package is specified with the order as Classic, Advanced or Cook2Temp. UL, NSF and ASME appear on the sheet.

It is offered for 208 V or 240 V, single or three phase service; choose the electrical option above. Fixing is into the counter, so a light table will not do. The pour side needs room for a pan, and the front of the vessel stays clear.
