Groen DEE/4T-60ATA/3 60 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - 2/3 Jacket, Twin Shaft Agitator

Water boiled by element in a sealed reservoir feeds the jacket of the DEE/4T-60ATA/3, which holds 60 gallons. It stands on legs over an enclosed base, with the agitator drive carried overhead. It is bought where the batch is made in quantity rather than to order.

The jacket covers the lower two thirds of the body, which puts heated metal alongside the batch as well as beneath it. Jacket pressure is capped at 50 PSI. Emptying is by self-locking worm and gear tilt, so the vessel holds whatever angle it is left at during the pour. Mixing is by twin shaft head, which puts a blade on each side of the vessel rather than one down the middle.

A 316 stainless interior sits inside a 304 body, as the sheet specifies. Type 316 stainless lines the vessel, chosen for product that would pit a lighter grade over time. Control choice is between the Classic and Advanced packages. It carries UL, NSF and ASME listings. A stainless bowl of this shape washes out in one pass.
