Groen DEE/4T-60AINA/2 60 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - 2/3 Jacket, Inclined Agitator

Steam raised by element rather than by flame is the whole utility story of the DEE/4T-60AINA/2 and its 60 gallons. Floor mounting has to take the weight of the vessel and the mixing head together. A kitchen buys it to stop cooking the same batch three times a day.

Jacketing runs to two thirds of the vessel height, so heat enters over an area rather than at a point. The jacket is stamped for 50 PSI maximum working pressure. The crank drives a worm gear, which means a full vessel cannot run away mid-pour and the rate is whatever the cook chooses. Mixing is by inclined head, set on a slant so the charge folds over itself rather than rotating in place.

A 316 stainless interior sits inside a 304 body. Type 316 stainless lines the vessel, the grade to have where tomato and salt are routine. Groen builds it with Classic or Advanced controls and nothing more elaborate. Groen lists the DEE/4T-60AINA/2 to UL, NSF and ASME. There are no removable parts inside to lose or replace.
