Groen DEE/4-60C 60 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - Manual Tilt

The DEE/4-60C holds 60 gallons and empties by tilting, which is the difference between a pour and an hour with a ladle. A combination support carries the vessel and the tilt gear as one piece of equipment. Its steam source is self-contained and electrically heated, so the site needs a circuit rather than a boiler room or a gas main.

Steam condensing on the outside of the vessel does the heating, which is why a thick product can be held rather than stirred constantly. Groen rates the jacket to 50 PSI maximum. Tilting is crank-driven and self-locking, so a pour can be stopped part way and restarted without losing the angle.

Construction is type 316 stainless throughout in one welded piece, so there is no lap joint inside to hold a residue. Interior polishing runs to 180 emery grit, so there is little for product to cling to. Type 316 stainless lines the vessel. The Classic package is a knob and lights, Advanced adds a timer and an LED display, and Cook2Temp adds a core probe. UL, NSF and ASME appear on the sheet.

The DEE/4-60C measures 30 Inch by 31-1/2 Inch and stands 61-1/2 Inch high, which is the floor area to mark out before anything else is placed.
