If you want the reach-in feel of swing doors with a cabinet that looks sharp on the sales floor, the Dukers DSM-48R is worth a look. It is a black two-door glass merchandiser with 48.73 cubic feet inside, locking doors and a backlit marquee, sized for markets, delis, cafes and beverage shops that move a lot of product.

Temperatures are set on a digital controller with LED display and held between 33°F and 40°F. A bottom-mounted 1/2 HP compressor on R290 natural refrigerant handles the cooling, powered from a standard 115V outlet at 9.8 amps and 690 watts.

What you will notice in day-to-day use

• Wide-open access. Swing doors open the whole section at once, which makes restocking full cases quick.
• Shelves where you want them. Ten adjustable, removable coated wire shelves, five per side, adapt to bottles, cans or packaged food.

• Power: plug into a 115V NEMA 5-15 outlet, ideally on its own circuit.
• Delivery: it stands 80-3/8" tall, 31-7/8" deep and 54-1/8" wide, so measure doorways, halls and any turns on the route in.
• Airflow: the compressor sits at the bottom, so keep the front grille clear and leave a little space around the cabinet, especially in a warm room.
• Door swing: leave room in front for two hinged doors to open fully.
