Not every shop has room for a big cooler, and that is where the Dukers DSM-12R earns its spot. At under 25 inches wide, this single-door glass merchandiser slips in beside a counter in a cafe, deli, salon or small market and turns cold drinks and grab-and-go items into impulse sales.

It gives you 11.47 cubic feet of display space at 33°F to 40°F, with a 1/5 HP bottom-mounted compressor on R290 natural refrigerant. Power draw is modest at 2.1 A (235 W) from a standard 115V outlet.

• Airflow: the compressor is at the bottom, so keep the front grille clear and leave a little space around the cabinet.
