Cambro UPCHW400 Ultra Pan Carrier H-Series, With Casters, 110V

The Cambro UPCHW400 is an Ultra Pan Carrier H-Series With Casters, 110V: a front-loading, rotomolded insulated carrier for full-size food pans with an energy-efficient heater built into the door. It runs on 110V, preheats in about an hour, and when unplugged holds safe hot temperatures for at least four hours. The exterior measures 18 1/8" x 26 3/8" x 31 1/4" with a 13 1/8" x 21" x 19 1/8" compartment. Choose Granite Gray, Granite Green, Slate Blue, Black or Dark Brown above.

UPCH400: Gentle Door-Mounted Heat in a One-Piece Insulated Carrier

The UPCH400 is Cambro's compact H-Series carrier: a one-piece rotomolded polyethylene body with thick CFC-free foam insulation and an electric heating element mounted in the gasketed front door. The heat is low-level and non-radiant, so the compartment is held between 150°F and 165°F (65.6°C to 73.9°C) without baking pan surfaces, which keeps pasta, bone-in fried chicken, double-crusted pies and sauced items moist. From a cold start the carrier preheats in about an hour, and once plugged in during service it recovers lost heat within roughly three minutes of a door opening. The compartment accepts full-size GN 1/1 food pans on molded-in rails, the door closes on a nylon latch, and ergonomic molded-in handles on both sides allow a two-person lift. The UPCHW400 version adds casters and raises the unit to 31 1/4" high so it rolls instead of being carried; both are offered in 110V and 220V.

For a caterer the UPCH400 is a hot box that is not tied to an outlet: preheat and load in the kitchen, unplug, drive to the venue, and the insulation alone keeps the food safe for four or more hours; plug it back in at the site for long events, frequent door openings or cold outdoor conditions. It is Energy Star rated and ETL listed, a far cheaper and lighter option than a metal warming cabinet for small to mid-size drops, and the seamless polyethylene shell will not rust, dent or chip and wipes clean after service.
