The Cambro EPPCTSPKG is a Camchiller insert kit for the top-loading Cam GoBox large handle carriers EPP180 & EPP160: an EPP insert tray plus the freezable Camchiller plate that drops into it. Freeze the plate flat overnight, seat it in the insert, stack the insert on the loaded GoBox and close the lid. The kit measures 23.6" x 15.7" x 3.4" and weighs 9.4 lbs., adding cold-holding time without taking up pan space inside the carrier.

Stackable Camchiller Insert: More Cold Time Without Losing Pan Space

A standard Camchiller sits on the top rails inside a carrier, which means giving up some of the interior to the plate. This package solves that for the top-loading Cam GoBox EPP180 and EPP160 by moving the chiller into its own molded expanded polypropylene (EPP) insert that stacks on the GoBox rim, under the lid. The Camchiller itself is a sealed plastic plate filled with food-safe freezable gel; it is frozen flat overnight and loaded at service time. The EPP insert uses the same lightweight, closed-cell foam as the GoBox body, so the stack stays light enough for one person to carry.

For caterers and delivery operations the result is a longer safe cold window for salads, dairy, desserts and proteins in a vehicle or at an outdoor event, where the carrier is exposed to heat and opened repeatedly. Because the chiller rides above the food rather than inside the cavity, the full GoBox pan capacity remains available. Keep several Camchillers in the freezer and rotate them so a charged plate is always ready. Insert and plate both wipe clean; the kit is sold complete.
