Overview

Reach-ins are the main upright cold storage in most commercial kitchens. This cabinet uses a self-contained, air-cooled refrigeration system with a digital controller that holds a steady temperature through frequent door openings, and the interior is laid out for full-size sheet pans and food boxes on adjustable shelves.

The bottom-mount design places the compressor near the floor, where the air is cooler and service is easier. The left-hinged door opens to the left, which suits layouts where a right-hinged door would block a walkway or a neighboring unit. Atosa uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which has very low global-warming potential and moves heat efficiently.
