Yanco MR-210 Mars Chinaware 10" x 7-7/8" x 1" Oval Platter, White and Blue — Case of 24 (2 dz)

The MR-210 is the small oval in Mars — ten inches long, 7-7/8 across, one inch tall. Yanco lists it as an appetizer platter and the proportions back that up: long enough for a row of three or four plated starters, narrow enough to land in the middle of a two-top.

It is the only Mars oval packed two dozen to the case; every larger oval comes one dozen. That makes it the shape to stock deep for passed-canape service, where plenty of the same vessel leave the kitchen in one pass and come back together.
