A bouillon cup is a small deep round meant to be lifted and drunk from. The MM-4 takes the plain route: 3-1/2" across, 2-1/2" tall, no handle, and 7.5 ounces to the fill line.

Consomme, broth, a cup of soup alongside a sandwich plate, and in many operations hot cereal or a custard baked and served in the same vessel. The straight wall and narrow footprint let a run of them sit close together on a shelf. Miami also lists the MM-46, which adds a handle and gives up an ounce and a half of volume.
