The LE-311 is a deep oval platter — 11-3/4 inches long, 7 across and 1-7/8 inches deep, roughly twice the rise of Legna’s coupe ovals. That depth is the whole point: it holds a braise, a curry or anything with sauce that a flat platter would lose over the side.

Depth is also what separates it from the 12-7/8 inch LE-213, which shares the same 7 inch width but rises a single inch; the LE-311 gives up an inch of length and gains nearly an inch of wall. The 13-3/4 inch LE-313 is the larger of the two Legna deep oval platters. Cases hold twelve; the chinaware is dishwasher and microwave safe.
