Ten and a half inches square puts this piece at dinner-plate scale while keeping the sushi plate’s flat, squared face. It is sized for a full sashimi service, a bento-style layout, or a main course that wants the plate visible around the food.

This is the Fuji square that works as a cover plate: an inch and a half wider than the 9" and the first size in the run to case twelve rather than twenty-four. The face stays flat rather than coupe, so three or four components can be set across it without sliding into a centre well. It is laid in front of one diner, not passed around a table, which is what keeps it a plate at this width. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
