Nineteen inches long, eight across, with a deep inch-and-three-quarter rim. No oval in this collection has a deeper one.

That depth changes what the piece can do, since it will hold braised meat in its sauce, a pile of mussels, roast potatoes in their own fat, or anything else that would run off a flatter board. The length splits the difference between the sixteen-and-a-half-inch platter and the twenty-two, and at twelve to the case it is packed for venues running several at a time. Moulded in one piece, with a white surface that keeps its finish through repeated commercial washing.
