Yanco BM-111CL Birmingham Melamine 11-1/2" x 1-1/4" Round Plate, Clay and Black — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Clay at 11-1/2 inches is the Birmingham piece that tends to end up photographed. The warm brown field is wide enough to read as a background in its own right, and the black outer wall cuts it off cleanly where the curve turns down.

A wide round in clay

Use is largely chef's-choice plating and family-style mains. Depth stays at 1-1/4 inch, matching the dinner round, so the piece nests with the other clay sizes rather than needing its own shelf space. The brushed surface hides the fine scratching that a wide flat plate collects faster than a small one.
