Yanco AD-221 Ardis Melamine 11-1/2" x 8" Oval Platter 3/4" Deep, Tan with Speckles — Case of 24 (2 dz)

This is the welled version of the Ardis 11-1/2" by 8" oval: the same outline as AD-211, dropped 3/4" to give it a shallow basin. That well is what keeps braising liquid, pan juices, a marinade or melted butter from running off the edge and onto the pass.

Use this oval platter for anything wet that still wants to be presented long rather than round — grilled vegetables in oil, fish in a light sauce, sausages and onions, a side of saucy greens. The 12" by 9" welled oval, AD-222, goes a quarter-inch deeper and runs half an inch longer. Speckled melamine means the well will not craze the way a glazed ceramic surface eventually does. Cases hold 24.
