Six and three-quarter inches across with a two-and-a-half-inch wall, the WL-507 takes twenty-six ounces, eight ounces above the WL-506, which puts it in entree-salad territory rather than side-salad. A composed grain bowl, a poke serve, or a substantial pasta all sit well in it.

The extra depth matters when a salad is tossed at the pass: there is room to turn the leaves without losing half of them on the bench. Woodland melamine takes the wood figure right over the foot ring, and it washes and stacks like any other plastic bowl. Cases hold two dozen.
