The Waring WPG250B is the 208V version of the Panini Supremo large Italian-style panini grill. It offers a generous 14.5" x 11" ribbed cast-iron cooking surface and draws 13.5 amps on a NEMA 6-20P plug, a good fit for hotel, institutional and high-volume kitchens built around 208V service.
Ribbed Cast-Iron Plates With an Auto-Balancing Top
Both cooking plates are heavy cast iron with raised ribs. Cast iron stores a deep reserve of heat, so the surface holds its temperature when a cold sandwich or raw chicken breast goes down, and the ribs press defined grill marks while lifting the food just enough for fat and moisture to run off rather than soak into the bread. With heat coming from above and below at the same time, sandwiches and proteins finish faster than they would on a flat-top with a spatula and a weight.
The hinged top plate is auto-balancing, so it settles level on whatever is underneath, from a thin quesadilla to a stacked sandwich up to 3" thick, and applies even pressure across the whole item. Grease and crumbs drain to a removable drip tray, and the brushed stainless steel body wipes clean quickly at close. Adjustable back feet let you angle the grill toward the drip tray for better grease drainage when cooking burgers or chicken.
Why Operators Choose It
- Large cooking area: 14.5" x 11" handles several sandwiches or proteins per load
- 208V service: 13.5 A on a NEMA 6-20P plug, freeing up 120V outlets for other equipment
- Ribbed cast iron: even heat and classic grill marks
- Grease control: adjustable back feet and removable drip tray
- Adjustable heat: thermostat up to 570°F with Power and READY lights
- Safe handling: heat-resistant handles; no mitts needed
Controls
Control is simple: an adjustable thermostat reaches up to 570°F for anything from a gentle melt to a hard sear, and Power ON and READY indicator lights show at a glance when the plates are hot enough to load. If you want a built-in countdown timer, Waring offers timer versions of its panini grills.
Ideal For
- Hotel and resort kitchens on 208V
- Corporate, university and hospital cafes
- High-volume delis and sandwich shops
