Cube-Style Ice Makers

Hoshizaki's KM series cube-style ice makers produce their signature crescent-shaped ice cubes, which are slower melting than standard square cubes and designed to displace less liquid in the glass, giving customers a better drink experience. We carry KM series models starting from compact units producing around 160 lbs of ice per day for smaller restaurants and bars, up to high-capacity stackable models like the KM-1900 series that produce up to 1,875 lbs per day for large-volume operations. Available in air-cooled, water-cooled, and remote condenser configurations to match your kitchen's ventilation and space requirements. All cube-style models feature stainless steel exteriors and are NSF, UL, and ENERGY STAR certified.

Nugget and Cubelet Ice Makers

Hoshizaki's F series produces soft, chewable nugget ice (also called cubelet ice) that is popular in beverages, smoothies, healthcare applications, and self-serve drink stations. Nugget ice absorbs the flavor of the beverage it sits in and is easier to chew, making it a favorite for iced tea, lemonade, and fountain drinks. We carry nugget ice makers from mid-range models producing around 890 lbs per day up to high-output units like the F-1501MWJ-C producing 1,376 lbs per day. These models feature Hoshizaki's CleanCycle24 automatic cleaning system and infrared bin sensors for hands-free operation.

Compact Ice Makers with Bins

For operations with limited space or lower ice volume needs, Hoshizaki's self-contained ice makers with built-in storage bins provide an all-in-one solution. These compact units fit under counters, behind bars, or in tight service areas and produce enough ice for small restaurants, cafes, and satellite beverage stations. Some models are ADA compliant and approved for outdoor use.

Choosing the Right Ice Machine

The right Hoshizaki ice maker depends on your daily ice consumption, available space, water and ventilation access, and the type of ice your operation needs. As a general guide, most full-service restaurants need 1.5 to 2 lbs of ice per customer per day. A restaurant serving 200 covers needs roughly 300 to 400 lbs of ice production daily. Air-cooled models are the most common and require adequate ventilation around the unit, while water-cooled models work better in kitchens with limited airflow.
