The 26-inch catering tandoor weighs 200 lbs and is designed for mobility, making it ideal for catering events, outdoor cooking, and smaller restaurant kitchens. The 28-inch medium tandoor at 450 lbs is a popular choice for new restaurants and mid-volume operations. The 30-inch large tandoor is our best-selling size for established Indian restaurants running full dinner service. The 32-inch extra large tandoor handles higher-volume kitchens and busy weekend service. For restaurants with the highest output, banquet halls, and catering companies, the 34-inch jumbo tandoor at 500 lbs delivers maximum capacity for producing hundreds of naan and tandoori items per service. What You Can Cook in a Tandoor
A tandoor oven reaches temperatures up to 900°F, producing a combination of radiant heat, convection, and smoke that is impossible to replicate with any conventional oven. This intense heat is what gives tandoori dishes their signature charred exterior and juicy interior. Naan, roti, and other flatbreads are slapped directly onto the inner clay walls and bake in minutes. Chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, lamb chops, paneer tikka, and fish tikka cook on skewers suspended inside the oven. The clay pot absorbs moisture from the food and radiates it back as aromatic steam, creating flavors that define Indian and South Asian cuisine. ETL Certified for Commercial Use
Every Shaan tandoor we sell is ETL certified, meaning it meets ANSI/NSF-4 standards for sanitation and Z83.11 standards for gas equipment. This certification is approved for commercial use in both the USA and Canada and is required by most local health departments for restaurant kitchens. Many tandoor ovens sold online from overseas manufacturers lack proper North American certifications, which can result in failed inspections, fines, and the inability to legally operate the equipment in your restaurant. What Comes Included
Every Shaan tandoor arrives fully assembled and ready for gas line connection. Each oven includes a pre-installed gas burner with safety system, thermocouple, and pilot igniter, a stainless steel mouth cover, a disposal tray for easy cleaning, 2 bread and naan skewers, 12 assorted BBQ skewers, a naan bread pad, 1 lb of maintenance clay for patching, and 4-inch swivel castor wheels for mobility. All tandoors work on natural gas and can be converted to LPG or propane if needed.
