To aid in maintaining the condenser coil, the condensing fan motor reverses airflow for 20 seconds when the compressor starts. This reverse action helps clear away dirt, dust, and debris, promoting more efficient coil performance. However, regular preventative maintenance is still necessary to keep the coil functioning properly over time.
