groen-dee-4-20c-20-gallon-steam-jacketed-kettle
Groen DEE/4-20C 20 Gallon Steam Jacketed Kettle - Manual Tilt

Where soup and stew are made 20 gallons at a time, the DEE/4-20C replaces a bank of pots with one tilting vessel. The kettle stands free on the floor rather than being hung from anything. The kettle makes its own steam electrically, which suits a building with no gas service.

The jacket is a sealed steam space against the vessel wall, so heat crosses it evenly instead of concentrating under the batch. Connected heating load is 10.8 kW, and the jacket carries a 50 PSI maximum. A crank meters the pour, which matters when the batch has to go into more than one pan.

Groen builds the vessel in type 316 stainless, welded rather than bolted together, so there is no lap joint inside to hold a residue. Interior polishing runs to 180 emery grit, so there is little for product to cling to. Type 316 stainless lines the vessel. The Classic package is a knob and lights, Advanced adds a timer and an LED display, and Cook2Temp adds a core probe. Groen lists the kettle to UL, NSF and ASME.

It measures 26 Inch by 29 Inch and stands 55 Inch high, which is the floor area to mark out before anything else is placed. It is offered for 208 V or 240 V, single or three phase service; choose the electrical option above. The space in front of the kettle is where the vessel travels as it empties, so it stays clear.

Features

20 Gallons of working volume — one batch a shift.

Electrically heated — nothing to light, nothing to vent.

316 stainless construction — better chloride resistance than 304.

26 Inch wide, 29 Inch deep — the floor space is known.

UL listing on the sheet — no argument at electrical sign-off.

Low-water protection — heat drops out before it runs dry.

Offered for 208 V or 240 V, single or three phase — select the electrical option above.

Floor standing on stainless legs — fixed in the line.

Cook2Temp core probe offered — cook to temperature, not to a clock.

Self-locking worm-gear crank tilt — holds its angle hands-free.

Specifications

Model

DEE/4-20C

Series

DEE/4 electric tilting floor kettle

Category

Steam Jacketed Kettle

Capacity

20 Gallons

Heat Source

Electric (self-contained)

kW

10.8 kW

Voltage

208 V or 240 V (select option)

Phase

Single or three phase

Amps

52 A at 208V / 1-phase; 30 A at 208V / 3-phase; 60 A at 240V / 1-phase; 35 A at 240V / 3-phase

Working Pressure

50 PSI maximum

Tilt

Manual crank, self-locking

Mount

Floor; stainless steel combination support with self-locking tilt mechanism

Controls

Classic (power, temperature knob, heating light, low-water warning), Advanced (adds time set, LED display, preset buttons) or Cook2Temp (adds probe)

Width

26 Inch

Depth

29 Inch

Height

55 Inch

Construction

Type 316 stainless steel with solid one-piece welded construction; interior polished to 180 emery grit

Liner

Type 316 stainless steel

Certifications

UL, NSF, ASME

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0289/5151/1092/files/groen-groen-dee4-20c-20-gallon-steam-jacketed-kettle-manual-tilt-208v-1-phase-dee4-20c-2081-4710808.jpg?v=1790800507
